Our back garden needs a complete renovation; it has been neglected and overgrown whilst conducting other works on the house.
We started the renovation by clearing out the outdoor space from weeds and stones. This allowed us a blank canvas to start to begin the job. After compacting the ground to create a smooth surface, we created a frame to clearly marked where we would have laid the pavestones to create a pathway.
To give the large garden a natural look and feel, we opted for real turf installation. We decided to install real turf, as it's more environmentally friendly and contributes in creating a wonderful place for wildlife.
Raised planter beds were built to decorate the garden; they were built in cedar wood to blend in with the fencing. We chose this material because it offers a natural resistance to rot and insects.
To create enclosure and privacy, we installed featherboard fence panels. This type of fencing is designed with slotted fence posts, secure with stainless steel for longer life. The wood chosen for this installation was timber for its versatile nature and its elegant design.
To give the garden a nice and natural finish, we laid gravel. It provides an excellent transition to the pathway, functioning as a filler in between the stone pavers and the external house walls, and fencing; it's also a good weed barrier.
We planted shrubs by the fence on the other side of the garden to provide height, structure and frame the garden's border.
