Small City Garden

The Brief:

I love plants; I'd like my garden to be transformed into a quiet escape from the buzzing of daily life.

What we provided

Paving

As the garden was situated on a slope we decided that the best way to transform it into a cosy space was to create steps which leads to the small patio at the centre. The sleepers used to create the steps were made of bricks to complement the looks of the house. For the paving we used Buff Classic Sandstone for its natural coloration.

Planting And Hedging

We planted two hedges in the middle of the garden to surround the already existing plants; this nicely leads to the patio at the centre. We also replace the soil as it was too compacted and poor to support root growth.

Shingle and Gravel

We added gravel at the bottom of the hedges for a tidier finish and as a future weed prevention.
